Fine Art Photographer
My name is Randy Grosse. I fell in love with photography in the fifth grade way back in 1968. I feel most at home with a camera in hand creating images. My photography career spans 30 plus years and includes commercial, architectural, portrait, and studio work.
My fine art photography explores color characteristics through innovative floral photographs and modern abstracts with a hint of the surreal. I love to create still life compositions that isolate the subject, allowing the viewer to experience it in an unusual and extraordinary way.
In my most recent work, I have challenged myself to create series of images that are more about the colors in each image, than the subject I am photographing.
Colors cause an emotional response and can impact mood.
As an example, color experts and Feng Shui practitioners associate red with passion and excitement, blue is contemplative and calming, purple is dignified, green is refreshing and peaceful, while yellow is cheerful and inspiring.
My Water Works, Glass Works, and LA 405 image series all feature a prominent color, captivating shapes and textures, each captured as a modern abstract or macro fine art photograph.
I hope you enjoy my work.
All the best wishes,
